At Southeastern Holiness Church, our beliefs are rooted in the timeless truth of God’s Word and shaped by a passion for holy living.
Here’s a simple overview of what we hold dear:
We believe in one eternal God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and full of love. As Creator of everything seen and unseen, He not only made the world but continues to guide and sustain it with care and purpose—for His glory and our good.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent by the Father to redeem a fallen world. He was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. He ascended to heaven and now offers salvation to all who trust in Him.
We believe the Holy Spirit is actively working in the world today—convicting hearts, guiding believers, empowering them to live holy lives, and comforting them in times of need. He is the presence of God with us and within us.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God—completely trustworthy and true. Both the Old and New Testaments reveal God's heart, plan, and purpose. It is our final authority for faith, doctrine, and everyday living.
We believe that through Christ’s death and resurrection, we can be justified—forgiven of our sins—and Filled with the Spirit — cleansed and empowered to live holy lives. This transforming grace changes not only what we believe but how we live, speak, and act.
We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are sacred practices given to the Church. Baptism is a testimony of our faith in Christ, and communion is a remembrance of His sacrifice. Both are meaningful expressions of our obedience and devotion to Him. Both are powerful means of grace to the believer and ought to observed by every believer.
We believe that followers of Jesus are called to live differently from the world—not out of pride, but in love and obedience. We aim to reflect Christ in our words, our actions, and our attitudes. As citizens, we strive to be respectful and obedient to government, unless it contradicts God’s Word. Our lives should be living testimonies of God’s grace.
We believe Jesus is coming again—soon and personally. We are not dogmatic about when he will return -- as no man knows the day or hour. But we DO believer we have all been commanded to watch earnestly for his return. Eternal life is promised to those who follow Christ, while eternal separation from God awaits those who reject Him.
We believe that the Church’s greatest calling is to share the good news of Jesus with the world. Evangelism isn’t optional—it’s the heartbeat of our mission. Whether across the street or across the world, we are called to make disciples in His name.
